Digital Lecture

Anne-Christine Günther provides fascinating insights into an ambitious digitisation project at the University and State Library. The Tagblatt was one of the longest continuously published (daily) newspapers in the German-speaking world and functioned as the most important leading medium in Darmstadt and the region of southern Hesse. It is precisely these "headlines from yesterday" that are exciting for today's research. News, pictures and advertising reflect many aspects of life in Darmstadt and the "big wide world" between 1740 and 1986.
